Eagles help 9 and 10 year olds soar at Fireman's Park

From August 30 through September 3 - 2010 ... a special camp took place for a group of 20 Tadpole and Mosquito players.

Every morning that week, the players learned some new skills and had fun through the instruction and leadership of Eagles players (l. to r.) Luke Hawkins, Alex Dumais, Daniel Peakman, Ryan Adkins and Colton Lindsay.

The Eagles Baseball Camp was organized by President Fraser Campbell of the Carnarvon Baseball Club along with Eagles Coach Gautam Srivastava.

Eagles volunteer at the World Parrot Refuge

Jr. & Sr. Eagles travelled up to Coombs, B.C. on Vancouver Island to volunteer their time at the World Parrot Refuge.

Players (and some parents and sisters) worked hard washing windows, sweeping and mopping floors, washing windows, working in the thrift store, crushing nuts, and taking in the masses of dropped off recycling.

It was a great day, and after all the work was done, the boys got to enjoy and appreciate their efforts and go in and visit with the birds.  It was exciting and interesting for all involved.
